The Summer Challenge is 3-week programme
Each week we will have life coaches and mentors providing self-development workshops as part of the programme.
We aim to provide a balance of fun and hard-work throughout the programme!
If completed successfully, participants will be invited to a graduation ceremony and will receive a certificate of achievement signed and presented by the Chief Minister of Gibraltar.
(residential) During week 1 of the programme young people work together and get active- staying at a residential centre and taking part in a range of outdoor activities like abseiling, kayaking, hiking, rock-climbing and more.
(non-residential) Week 2 is a chance for you to learn more about photography, media, drama or sports. Using this skill, you will get a chance to create a project for a charity or community partner of your choice.
(non-residential) Week 3 will make you bring out the inner entrepreneur. You and your team will work with a business partner to raise funds for a community or charity partner of your choice. Use your creativity to earn the bucks!
The programme is not just the 3 weeks but much more!
Once participants have graduated from the programme, CYE-CYL will carry out ongoing activities and events and work closely with partner organisations to support young people enter further education, internship and employment opportunities.
